  1. What is SmartBiz by Amazon?
    • SmartBiz by Amazon helps you create, manage and grow your very own ecommerce website. You do not need any technical knowledge to use Smartiz. You can visit the website for more details - If you are interested, you can download the app from playstore.
  2. How do I set up my own ecommerce website on SmartBiz?
    • To create your website, you will first need to download the SmartBiz app from the playstore and create your account. You can use existing amazon credentials or new ones to create an account. 
  3. What can I sell on SmartBiz?
    • You can sell products that are legally allowed for sale in India. 
  4. Can I sell services on SmartBiz?
    • Currently, our app is designed for product-based businesses. Please stay tuned to our marketing website for product related updates -
  5. Do I need to a GST number to sell on Amazon?
    • No, you do not need a GST number to create your website on Amazon. Our product can be used by small businesses, individuals and D2C brands alike.
  6. Can I create a SmartBiz store for my B2B business?
    • Yes, you can use our app to create a store for your B2B business as well. You can visit the website for more details on features - If you are interested, you can download the app from playstore.
  7. Where can I promote my SmartBiz webstore?
    • You can share your website URL on social media channels like whatsapp, instagram, facebook etc. You can also download your webstore's QR code from the app and promote it in your retail store.
  8. Can I delete my SmartBiz account?
    • The account deletion feature is not currently available and is expected to be available from January 2024. However, you can reach out to our support from the 'Help' section in the app and raise a request for account deletion. We will ensure that your request is taken up on priority once the feature is live.
  9. Can I link my custom domain to SmartBiz?
    • Yes, you can link your custom domain (purchased on any domain registrar) to your SmartBiz website. But first, you will need to purchase a custom domain from a domain registrar like go daddy. Next, login to the app> click on 'Profile' > Link custom domain and follow the steps mentioned to link your custom domain.
  10. In which countries is SmartBiz available to download?
    • Currently, SmartBiz is available in India only.
  11. What features are available on SmartBiz?
    • You can create and customize a website for your business, add products, configure delivery settings, link custom domain, setup online payments and fulfil your orders. You can even create coupons and promote your store on whatsapp. 
  12. Can I delete/ deactivate my SmartBiz account?
    • Currently, we do not have the delete/ deactivate feature. We are working on this and it should be available from January 2024. You can reach out to support for any assistance by logging in to the app > clicking on 'Profile' > Help section.
  13. Where can I download SmartBiz by Amazon?
    • You can download SmartBiz from Google Playstore. Currently, the application is available for Android devices on the playstore only.
  14. Is SmartBiz available on desktop?
    • Yes, you can use SmartBiz on your desktop by logging in with your credentials. Currently, you will be able to create and manage bulk listings on Desktop.
  15. Can I migrate to SmartBiz from other platforms?
    • Yes, you can migrate your account from other platforms to SmartBiz. However, currently you will need to configure your account settings and update your catalog on SmartBiz. Currently, we do not provide the option to automatically migrate your account from other platforms.
  16. Will my store/ products be visible on Amazon marketplace?
    • No, SmartBiz is a standalone application built by Amazon. Your store details will not be shared or promoted on Amazon marketplace.
  17. Is SmartBiz free to use?
    • Yes, SmartBiz is free to use until March '24. You only need to pay a transaction fees to Pinelabs for processing online payments. Additionally, you will need to pay delivery fees for your orders in case you wish to use Shiprocket services for shipping.
  18. How will I be charged once SmartBiz becomes a paid service?
    • You will be charged monthly based on the subscription plan that you opt for. For more details, stay tuned to the SmartBiz website -
  19. What personal information does SmartBiz collect?
    • We receive and store any information you provide in relation to Smart Commerce Services such as your registered mobile number, email address, business address etc. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our Smart Commerce Services.
  20. Does Amazon promote my store on the marketplace?
    • No, we do not promote your store on Amazon marketplace. SmartBiz is an different business, independent from Amazon. Seller's get complete access of  how and where they they promote their store and SmartBiz only enables them to create their website.
  21. Can I get access to customer data?
    • You do get access to limited customer details such as contact number that help you fulfil an order. If you need any specific details from a customer to fulfil an order, you will need to reach out to them.  
  22. Can I decide my own store level policies on exchange, returns and refunds?
    • Yes, you can edit your store policies from the 'Profile' section in the app. By default, we offer a template of standard policies which you can change depending on your business
