Instagram Feed Matters
Adding your Instagram feed helps you:
Build trust through real, social content
Maintain a visually updated storefront without extra work
Highlight customer reviews, influencer posts, or lifestyle imagery
Increase engagement and time spent on your website
Prerequisites
Before connecting your Instagram account, ensure:
You are using SmartBiz Desktop Website Editor
You have an Instagram Business or Creator account
Your Instagram profile is public
You have login access to the Instagram account
Steps to link
Step 1: Go to your SmartBiz Mobile App. Go to Profile. Go to Growth and Engagement.
Step 2: Go to Instagram Feed. Add your Instagram to your website.
Step 3: A prerequisites page will be shown. Proceed to go to the Meta login page.
In case of new users, you can create a new account on Meta.
Step 4: After clicking on "Log In", it will ask for "Allow"/"Don't Allow". Clicking on "Allow" will give access to SmartBiz to receive the Instagram profile information.
Step 5: Now you will have the option to choose the feed layout. You can either choose "Carousel" or "Grid" and then "Save".
Step 6: You will get a pop-up "Feed Layout Saved, View Store".
Steps to Delink
Step 1: You can disconnect your Instagram feed anytime by clicking on "Disconnect".
Step 2: Clicking on "Disconnect" pops up a message "Are you sure you want to disconnect your Instagram Account?"
Step 3: Click on "Yes, Disconnect Account".
FAQs
1. My Instagram feed is not loading. Why?
Common reasons:
Your Instagram account is private
Required permissions were denied
Session expired → reconnect your account
You recently switched to a Business account (sync can take a few hours)
2. Can I disconnect the Instagram feed?
Yes.
Go to the Instagram Feed widget → Disconnect Account.
3. Does the feed update automatically?
Yes. Your latest posts are pulled automatically.
4. Can I choose specific posts to display?
Not yet. The widget automatically shows your most recent posts.
5. What happens if I change my Instagram username?
You will need to reconnect your account through the widget.
6. Will customers be redirected to Instagram when they click a post?
Yes, clicking a post opens your Instagram profile.
