Customize your Product Detail Page in Chic Fame Theme: Add, Edit, and Personalize Product Widgets

  • Updated

Introduction:

Your Product Detail Page (PDP) plays a crucial role in influencing customer purchase decisions. This article will guide you on how to add, edit, and personalize widgets on your PDP using Amazon SmartBiz. By customizing widgets, you can create an engaging and visually appealing product page that highlights the right information and improves your customers’ shopping experience.

This article covers:

a) How to add widgets to your PDP

1. Log in to your Desktop App.

2. Go to the Website Appearance option and select/create the Chic Fame draft you want to make changes to.

3. Choose the Product Detail Page (PDP) editor from the options under 'Pages'.

4. Select Add New Widgets to browse available widget options.

4. For example, click on Image & Text to add this widget to your PDP.

5. Use the preview panel to view widget silhouettes and click Confirm to add.

6. Once added, the widget will appear at the bottom of your page layout.

NOTE: Use widgets like “Product Information,” “Testimonials,” or “Image Banner” to highlight key product details effectively.

b) How to edit and configure widgets

1. Click on the Kebab Menu (⋮) on any widget to access quick actions — Hide, Duplicate, Rename, or Remove.

2. To edit a widget, click on its name (e.g., Product Information).

3. A configuration panel will open on the left-hand side with multiple customization options such as:

  • Padding: Adjust the spacing above or below the widget.

  • Image Position: Set the image to appear on either the left or right side.

  • Aspect Ratio: Choose from ratios like 1:1, 2:3, 3:4, 4:3, or 4:5.

  • Thumbnails: Select your preferred thumbnail style for product images.

NOTE: A 1:1 image ratio works best for products where uniformity is important, such as apparel or accessories.

c) How to personalize widget layout and arrangement

1. Within the Product Information Widget, you can rearrange sub-widgets such as Price, Title, Best Offer, or Ratings.

2. Simply drag and drop these elements in your preferred sequence.

3. This flexibility helps you prioritize what your customers see first — for instance, highlighting “Price” or “Best Offer” above the fold.

NOTE: Keep key information (like price and ratings) near the top of the page for better conversion.
