Self-Ship your Order

SmartBiz allows you to deliver orders using your own delivery agent or any third-party courier service using the Self Ship option. This is helpful if you already have local delivery staff or prefer a courier partner outside Shiprocket.

Note: In order to ship via Shiprocket, you will first need to setup a Shiprocket account on Smartbiz. Refer the article How to setup a Shiprocket account for details.

1. How to Self-Ship an Order

Follow these steps after you accept an order:

Step 1: Open the SmartBiz Home page

Step 2: Click on Orders

Click the Orders section in the Amazon Desktop Seller App to view your current orders.

Step 3: Accept the Order

Click Accept Order to confirm you will fulfill the selected order.

Step 4: Go into the order details. 

Click the indicated area to access additional order options and details.

Click View Details to see comprehensive information about the order.

Step 5: Initiate Shipping Process

Click Ship Order to begin preparing the order for shipment.

Step 6: Self Ship the Order

A pop-up will appear. Select one of the following:

Self Ship

Use this if your delivery boy/agent will deliver the order.

  • Enter Delivery Agent Name

  • Enter Valid 10-digit Mobile Number

Customers will use this number to contact the agent for updates.

Step 7: Click “Ship Order”

 

2. How Customers Track Self-Shipped Orders

Your customers can easily track the delivery status:

Step 1: Open your SmartBiz website

Step 2: Go to My Orders

Step 3: Select the relevant order

Step 4: Scroll to the Shipping Address section

They will see:

  • Delivery agent name & phone number OR

  • Third-party courier name + tracking ID/URL

 

FAQs

1. Can I edit delivery agent or courier details after submitting?

No. Once you click Continue, the details are locked. Enter them carefully.

2. What if my customer cannot track the third-party courier?

Share the exact tracking link or correct AWB number with the customer.
If the issue continues, reach out to the courier partner directly.

3. How do I update the delivery status for Self-Ship orders?

Delivery status is managed outside SmartBiz. You must coordinate directly with your agent or courier.

4. Will Self-Ship orders affect my store rating?

Yes. Providing incorrect details or delayed delivery may lead to negative customer feedback. Always share accurate tracking information.

5. Can I switch from Self-Ship to Shiprocket later?

Not for the same order.
You can, however, use Shiprocket for future orders once your account is set up.
