Self-Ship your Order

To deliver an order to your customer's address, you can either ship the order with Shiprocket or an independent delivery agent/ courier service using the 'Self Ship' feature. 

Note: In order to ship via Shiprocket, you will first need to setup a Shiprocket account on Smartbiz. Refer the article How to setup a Shiprocket account for details.

A. How do I 'Self-Ship' an order?

After accepting an order, follow the steps mentioned below to Self-Ship your order:

  1. Click on 'Ship Order' button and select 'Self Ship'
  2. A pop up will appear. Select either 'Delivery Agent' or 'Third Party Service'.
  3. If you have selected delivery agent, enter the agent's name and valid 10 digit mobile number. This will help your customer contact the delivery agent in case they want to track the status of their order.
  4. If you have selected 'Third Party Services', enter the courier name and tracking ID/ URL. Customers will be able to track their order with the help of the ID/ URL shared by you.
  5. Click on 'Continue' after entering the details. Note: Ensure that the details provided are correct before clicking on 'Continue' as you will not be able to edit the details later.

B. How can my customers track self-shipped orders?

  1. Your customers will need to open your Smartbiz website.
  2. Next, they need to open their order from the 'My Orders'.
  3. Delivery agent/ third party courier details will be visible at the bottom of the order details page under the shipping address.
