You can create customized coupons to offer customers attractive discounts during sales and festive periods. Additionally, you can decide the set of customers (new/existing/all customers) that will be eligible for coupons. In this article, we will cover
Coupons for Mobile
A. How do I create a % discount coupon?
1. Click on 'Coupons' under 'Profile' section in the SmartBiz app.
2. You will be able to see a dashboard of your coupons - Active/Yet to start/Expired.
3. Click on 'Create New Offer' to create a new coupon.
4. To create a % discount, click on 'Percentage Discount'.
5. Enter a 'Coupon Name' and 'Coupon Code' and click 'Next'.
Note: Your customers will be able to see the coupon code on your storefront.
6. Enter coupon details such as percentage discount, minimum value of order for coupon eligibility, maximum discount that can be availed, number of times that a given customer can use the coupon, validity period of the coupon and the customer set that is eligible for the coupon.
7. As an example, if you want to offer 10% discount on all orders above Rs. 500 upto a maximum discount of Rs. 100, set the 'Percentage Value' as 10, 'Minimum Purchase Amount' as 500 and 'Maximum Discount Amount' as 100.
8. Click 'Next' to preview the coupon code. Click on 'Create Coupon' to activate the coupon.
9. If your coupon is currently active, it will be visible on your storefront and at the time of checkout.
B. How do I create a flat discount coupon?
1. Click on 'Coupons' under 'Profile' section in the SmartBiz app and select 'Create New Offer'.
2. To create a flat discount, select 'Flat Amount Discount'.
3. Enter a 'Coupon Name' and 'Coupon Code' and click 'Next'.
4. Enter coupon details such as discount, minimum value of order for coupon eligibility, number of times that a given customer can use the coupon, validity period of the coupon and the customer set that is eligible for the coupon.
5. As an example, if you want to offer Rs. 50 discount on all orders above Rs. 500, set the 'Discount Amount' as 50, 'Minimum Purchase Amount' as 500.
Click 'Next' to preview the coupon code. Click on 'Create Coupon' to activate the coupon.
Coupon for desktop
A. How do I create product level offer?
Currently, Product level offers can be created only from Desktop.
1. Click on 'Offers and Discounts' in 'Growth' section and then click on 'Create Offer'.
2. Click on 'Create Offer' and then click on 'Discount on Products'.
3. You can create either 'Percentage Discount' or 'Flat Amount Discount'.
4. Then enter 'Offer Name'. Please note that offer name should be unique.
5. For offer settings, please enter 'Percentage Value', 'Minimum items in cart' and 'Maximum Discount Amount' if offer type is 'Percentage Discount'. Please enter 'Flat Discount amount' and 'Minimum Items in Cart' if offer type is 'Flat Amount Discount'.
6. Then go to 'Offer Applicable to' section. Please note that only 1 offer is applicable to a product. The offer can be applicable either to all products or on specific products.
7. When you click on 'Specific products', you can select all products listed under category. Please note that maximum 30 products can be selected for 1 offer. Also note that all variants are also counted as 1 product. For ex: 1 mobile phone with 3 variants will be selected as 3 products.
8. Go to 'Offer Validity' and click on 'Start Date' and 'End Date'. Start Date should be today as coupons cannot be created for back dates. End Date is optional.
9. Once you enter all required details, create offer will be in 'Active' state. Please note that 'Create Offer' remains in grayed state unless all required details are entered.
B. How do I create order level offer?
1. Click on 'Offers and Discounts' in 'Growth' section and then click on 'Create Offer'.
2. Click on 'Create Offer' and then click on 'Discount on order'.3. You can create either 'Percentage Discount' or 'Flat Amount Discount'.
4. Then enter 'Offer Name'. Please note that offer name should be unique.
5. Choose the Offer Visibility:
Visible on Store: The offer is shown to all customers on your store and can be used by anyone at checkout using the Offer Code.
Secret Offer: The offer is hidden from the store and can only be used by customers who have the Secret Offer Code.
6. For offer settings, please enter 'Percentage Value', 'Minimum Purchase Amount' and 'Maximum Discount Amount' if offer type is 'Percentage Discount'.
Please enter 'Flat Discount amount' and 'Minimum Items in Cart' if offer type is 'Flat Amount Discount'.
7. Go to 'Offer Validity' and click on 'Start Date' and 'End Date'. Start Date should be today as coupons cannot be created for back dates. End Date is optional.
8. Offer Valid to: Choose whether the offer is available to any customer, only first-time customers, or only repeat customers, helping you target the right audience for your promotion.
9. Once you enter all required details, create offer will be in 'Active' state. Please note that 'Create Offer' remains in grayed state unless all required details are entered.
How do I share coupons with my customers?
After previewing your coupon, click on 'Share Coupon' to share your coupon with customers on social media/SMS etc. Ensure that the coupon is active and the customer is eligible before sharing the coupon code.
