You can also use the QR code offline by placing it on placards, standees, brochures, or other in-store marketing materials. This helps customers return to your online store for future purchases.

Best Practices: What to Post on WhatsApp and Instagram to Get More Clicks

Sharing your store link works best when customers also see attractive content that makes them curious to click. Instead of only sending the store URL, sellers should combine the link with relevant photos, short text, and regular content updates.

1. Use product photos that immediately attract attention

Customers usually decide within seconds whether to click, so product images should be clear and visually appealing.

Recommended photo types:

  • Bright, high-quality product images with clean background
  • Close-up photos showing product details
  • Lifestyle photos showing the product in actual use
  • Multiple angles for premium or detailed products
  • Bestselling products placed first in posts

For WhatsApp Status or Instagram Stories:
Use one strong product image instead of many crowded images.

2. Write short text that creates curiosity

Long text usually gets ignored. The most effective captions are short and direct.

Good examples of text:

  • New arrivals just added ✨
  • Limited stock available
  • Festive collection now live
  • Bestselling designs available today
  • Shop directly here

The message should clearly tell customers why they should click now.

3. Always include a clear action statement

Every post should guide the customer toward the next action.

Useful call-to-action examples:

  • Click to explore products
  • Order directly from my store
  • Tap to shop now
  • Scan QR code to browse

Without a clear action line, customers may see the post but not open the store.

4. Use different content formats regularly

Customers engage more when content changes instead of repeating the same style.

A seller can rotate between:

  • Product promotion: featured products, offers, combos
  • New arrivals: newly added catalog items
  • Behind-the-scenes: packing orders, store preparation, new stock arrival
  • Customer trust content: happy customer feedback or repeat orders
  • Festival content: occasion-based promotions
  • Educational content: how to use, style, or choose products

This keeps the store active in the customer’s mind.

5. WhatsApp works best for direct and personal communication

For WhatsApp:

  • Share individual product links with known customers
  • Use broadcast messages for offers
  • Post best products on WhatsApp Status
  • Share QR code in customer chats when customers ask for details

WhatsApp performs better when messages feel personal and relevant.

6. Instagram works best for visual consistency

For Instagram:

  • Maintain similar visual style across posts
  • Add store link in bio
  • Use stories regularly for offers and updates
  • Create highlights for categories such as New Arrivals, Offers, Bestsellers

A consistent profile builds stronger trust.

7. Post content that answers customer buying questions

Content gets more clicks when it solves hesitation.

Examples:

  • Price mention where suitable
  • Delivery availability
  • Material or size details
  • Offer validity
  • Product usage

This helps customers decide faster.

8. Plan content instead of posting randomly

Sellers should post regularly rather than only during sales periods.

A simple content rhythm can be:

  • Product feature post
  • Offer post
  • Customer feedback post
  • New arrival post

Consistency improves recall.

Strategic Note

Good content does two things together:

  • Builds trust
  • Creates click intent

A customer is more likely to visit your store when the content clearly shows value, looks professional, and gives a reason to act immediately.
