FAQs

1. What exactly is a variant?
A variant is a different version of the same product, such as another size or color option. Variants let customers choose their preferred size or color from one listing.

2. Why should I add variants instead of separate products?
Adding variants keeps your catalog organized and gives customers a single product page with all related options (sizes/colors). This improves the shopping experience and can increase conversions.

3. How do I add a variant to my existing product?
Go to Catalog > Products, select the product, then click Add New Variant. Add the variant’s size and/or color, upload an image, set the MRP and selling price, and click Add Variant

4. What if I don’t upload an image for a variant?
If you don’t upload a specific image for a variant, the system will use the default image from the main product. For better customer clarity, we recommend uploading a separate image.

5. Can I enter size values in any format?
Yes — size values can be entered in any format you prefer (e.g., “XS”, “Extra Small”, or “xs”). However, using consistent formats across variants helps avoid confusion on your storefront.

6. How can I edit or delete an existing variant?
In Catalog > Products, select the product and click Edit & Manage Your Variants. You can click a variant to edit details or use the delete icon to remove it and confirm your action.

7. Will variants show up on my storefront automatically?
Yes — once you add variants, customers can select different sizes or colors on the product listing page to view each variant.

8. Can I add variants while adding a new product?
Yes — when adding a new product, after entering basic details (images, name, description, etc.), you can immediately click Add Variants and follow the same process.

9. What happens if two variants have the exact same size/color?
Avoid duplicate size or color values across variants of the same product — this can confuse customers and make inventory management harder. Always use unique attributes for each variant.

10. Can I set different prices for each variant?
Yes — you can update the MRP and selling price for each variant independently when adding it. n

11. What if a variant goes out of stock?
Each variant has its own inventory tracking. When a variant’s stock becomes zero, it will display as out of stock for customers while other variants remain available.
