Delivery settings allow you to control how, where, and at what cost orders are delivered from your SmartBiz store. By configuring delivery charges, delivery coverage, and delivery timelines, you can set clear expectations for customers, reduce order-related queries, and optimize your fulfillment operations.

This article explains how to enable delivery and configure all delivery-related settings in the SmartBiz app.

 

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you have:

  • An active SmartBiz store

  • Access to the SmartBiz mobile app

  • A configured store address for order fulfillment

Step-by-Step: Configure Delivery Settings

Step 1: Open Delivery Settings

  1. Open the SmartBiz app

  2. Click on your Store Name

  3. Turn ON the Delivery toggle

Customers will not see delivery options unless this toggle is enabled. This enables home delivery for your store

Step 2: Enable Delivery Settings

  • Go to Settings → Delivery Settings

 

Step 3: Set Delivery Charges

You can define how delivery fees apply to customer orders.

  • If no delivery fee is set, delivery will be free by default

  • You can configure:

    • Minimum order value for free delivery

    • Delivery fee for orders below the minimum value

    • Flat delivery fee (applies to all orders)

Step 4: Set Minimum Order Value

  • Enter the minimum order amount above which delivery is free

  • This helps encourage customers to place higher-value orders

Step 5: Set Delivery Fee for Orders Below Minimum

  • Define the delivery fee customers must pay if their order value is below the minimum threshold

Step 6: Configure Delivery Coverage

  1. Click Delivery Radius

  2. Choose one of the following:

    • Enter delivery distance in kilometers

    • Select All India Coverage for pan-India delivery

Step 7: Set Handling & Delivery Time

Delivery timelines define how long customers wait to receive orders.

Within the Same State

  • Enter the maximum number of days required for delivery

Across India

  • Enter the minimum and maximum delivery duration

Note:
Delivery timelines are visible to customers on your SmartBiz website and apply to all products in your catalog.

 

Step 8: Save Changes

  • Review all delivery settings carefully

  • Tap Save Changes to apply them immediately

Once saved, customers will see:

  • Delivery charges

  • Delivery coverage

  • Estimated delivery timelines

This improves transparency and reduces delivery-related queries.

 

FAQs & Edge Cases

1. What happens if I don’t set any delivery charges?

If delivery charges are not configured, no delivery fee will be applied, and delivery will be free.

2. Can delivery fees vary by location or order size?

No. Currently, SmartBiz supports only a flat delivery fee structure.

3. Can I set different delivery times for different products?

No. Delivery timelines apply to your entire catalog, not individual products.

4. Can customers see delivery timelines before placing an order?

Yes. Delivery timelines are displayed on your SmartBiz website during checkout.

5. What if I want to stop accepting delivery orders temporarily?

You can turn off the Delivery toggle from the Delivery Settings section. Orders will no longer be accepted for delivery until it is turned back on.

6. Does delivery coverage apply to pickup orders?

No. Delivery coverage settings apply only to home delivery, not store pickup.
