Inventory Dashboard

  • Updated

Introduction

The Inventory Dashboard helps you monitor stock levels, track product performance, and make informed restocking decisions. In this article, we’ll walk you through how to access the dashboard, use its filters, and understand key metrics. This is important because it enables you to avoid stockouts, optimize inventory levels, and protect your revenue. These insights also ensure your customers always see accurate product availability on your storefront.

Prerequisites

Before using the Inventory Dashboard, ensure:

  • Your product catalog is set up

  • Inventory is updated for all SKUs

Accessing the Inventory Dashboard

The Inventory Dashboard is available within the Analytics section under the Operations Dashboards tab (third tab). This is your central place to analyze inventory performance and stock health.

Using Dashboard Filters

The dashboard provides multiple filters to refine your analysis:

  • DRR (Daily Run Rate): Helps you analyze inventory over different timeframes such as weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly.

  • Product Name: Search for specific products.

  • Product Category: View inventory by category.

  • Business Category: Analyze inventory across different business segments.

These filters allow you to drill down into specific inventory segments for better decision-making.

Understanding Key Metrics

1. Days of Cover (DOC)

Indicates how many days your current inventory will last based on sales trends.

2. Stock Outs

Shows the number of products with zero inventory. These require immediate attention to avoid lost sales.

3. Inventory DOC Buckets

Inventory is grouped into buckets based on how long it will last:

  • Less than 30 days

  • 30–60 days

  • 60–90 days

  • More than 90 days

This helps prioritize restocking.

4. Stock Coverage and Risk Table

Provides a detailed breakdown including:

  • Total inventory units across catalogs

  • Sales contribution (%) per SKU

  • Days of cover per SKU

By default, items are sorted by sales contribution and DOC, helping you identify high-performing products at risk of stockout.

5. Infinite Inventory Tag

If enabled, this indicates that a product is marked as always in stock regardless of actual inventory levels.

Managing Inventory Effectively

  • Prioritize Restocking: Focus on products in the “under 30 days” DOC bucket.

  • Avoid Stockouts: Monitor zero-inventory products and replenish quickly.

  • Disable Inactive Inventory: If a product is no longer sold, disable it from the catalog.

  • Track High-Performing SKUs: Ensure top-selling products always have sufficient stock.

  • Use Custom SKU View: Analyze inventory specifically for custom SKUs if applicable.

Customer Experience

Any updates you make to inventory directly impact your storefront:

  • Products marked out of stock will not be purchasable by customers

  • Accurate inventory ensures a smooth shopping experience

  • Prevents order cancellations due to stock unavailability

Next Steps

After reviewing your inventory:

  • Update stock levels for low-inventory products

  • Disable inactive or discontinued items

  • Regularly monitor dashboard insights to maintain optimal inventory health
