Introduction

Keeping your inventory updated helps prevent stockouts, overselling, and order fulfillment delays. This article explains how you can update product quantities for multiple SKUs in bulk using SmartBiz. Maintaining accurate inventory levels ensures that customers see the correct product availability on your storefront, helping improve their shopping experience and reducing order cancellations.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that:

  • You are logged in to SmartBiz.
  • Your products are already added to your catalog.
  • You have the latest inventory quantities available for the products you want to update.

1. Log in to your SmartBiz Desktop Seller App and open the Main Menu by clicking the dropdown arrow next to Catalog.

2. Click Inventory to view your products and stock levels.

3. Select the products whose inventory you want to update.



4. Click Update Quantity to open the quantity input fields for your products.

5. Select Add to add the inventory with the existing stock (For Example: If the existing stock of your product is 5, you select add and enter the quantity as 2 then the inventory will be updated to 7).

6. Select Set to set the inventory to a specific quantity (For example: If the existing stock of your product is 5, you select set and enter the quantity as 2 then the inventory will be updated to 2)

7. Click Enter Quantity to input the quantity for the selected products.

8. Click Save to apply the updated quantities to your selected products. 



NOTE: Review all quantities before saving the changes.

9. Once the changes are applied, you will receive a success message indicating that the inventory has been updated successfully.

10. Your inventory quantities have been updated successfully.

NOTE: Ensure that the quantities entered accurately reflect your available stock to avoid overselling or inventory discrepancies.

After updating inventory:

  • Review your inventory regularly to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Update inventory immediately after receiving new stock or completing stock audits.
  • Monitor low-stock products and replenish inventory proactively to avoid stockouts.
