SmartBiz now offers a streamlined way to import product catalogs from Amazon directly into your SmartBiz account using the Amazon Catalog Template. This new feature enables you to efficiently transfer product data, including details such as title, description, and images, from Amazon into SmartBiz. By using the Catalog Import from Amazon functionality, you can ensure a seamless integration and save valuable time in managing your product listings. You can use this feature for your past catalog, for which you already have am Amazon Template file, or any new listings that you plan to add to Amazon.

Prerequisites:
Before using the Catalog Import feature, ensure you meet the following requirements:
- Amazon Seller Account: You must have an active seller account on Amazon with access to the product catalog - to download the catalog file which needs to be filled and uploaded.
- SmartBiz Account: You must have an active SmartBiz account to import products.
- Amazon Catalog Template: Make sure you have downloaded the correct Amazon Catalog Template to fill data. This template is available in your Amazon Seller Central account. DO NOT download the beta file, uncheck the beta button if selected by default.
Step-by-Step Guide to Import Catalog from Amazon to SmartBiz:
Step 1: Prepare Your Amazon Catalog Template
- Log in to your Amazon Seller Central account.
- Navigate to Catalog > Add Products via Upload.
- Download the Amazon Catalog Template for your product category. The template will be an Excel file that contains various columns for product details like product title, SKU, price, quantity, and more. You can do this by Download Blank Template > Download Product Spreadsheet > Search Product Type > Uncheck the Beta Version > Generate Spreadsheet.
4. Fill out the template with the relevant product information that you want to upload into Amazon (and upload the details to your Amazon seller account).
Step 2: Log in to Your SmartBiz Account
- Open your browser and go to the SmartBiz Login Page.
- Enter your username and password to access your account.
Step 3: Access the Catalog Import Feature
- Once logged in, navigate to the Catalog Management section in your SmartBiz dashboard.
- Select Bulk Actions from the right-hand menu.
- Choose the option labeled Import from Amazon to start the import process.
Step 4: Upload the Amazon Catalog Template
- In the import screen, you’ll find an option to upload a file. Click the Upload File button.
- Select the Amazon Catalog Template file that you downloaded and filled out earlier.
- Once the file is selected, click Upload to proceed.
Step 5: Column Mappings
- SmartBiz will automatically attempt to match the columns from your Amazon Catalog Template with the corresponding fields in SmartBiz.

3. In case of any change, download the modified file in the next step and make the necessary changes to the file.
Step 6: Confirm Product Data
After uploading the file, SmartBiz will convert the file and generate a catalog file in SmartBiz format to be imported.
Review the product details such as Title, Custom SKU, price, description, and Variant attributes by clicking Review Catalog to ensure everything is correct.
- If everything looks good, click Import Catalog to begin the import process. Else make the changes and upload using Upload Modified File.
Step 7: Monitor the Import for Errors
The import process will begin. Depending on the number of products, the import may take a few minutes.
- Once the import is complete, you will receive a confirmation message. If there are any errors (e.g., missing product information), SmartBiz will provide a detailed report so you can address the issues and re-upload the catalog file.
Step 8: Review Imported Products
- Go to your Catalog section in SmartBiz to view the newly imported products.
- Ensure that all product details are correctly populated and visible.
- You can now manage, edit, and update your product listings as needed.
